Thursday you will be welcomed to the mountains. After your check in and a meet and greet, we will head out for a short 6-8 mile sunset run followed by a nice dinner and an intro to the camp.
Friday morning after breakfast we will discuss running techniques with the opportunity to put those lessons into practice afterwards during our midday 10 mile run. Following lunch, we will talk about nutrition and how to fuel our bodies both on and off the trails. After some free time, we will meet up again to discuss cross and strength training as it applies to ultrarunning, along with ultrarunning 101 and how to maintain longevity in the sport. We will close the evening with dinner and some running related entertainment.
Day three we will set out for a long run of 20 miles where we will have chance to implement all that we have learned thus far. After a late lunch we will talk about training schedules and how to prepare for a race. The evening will wrap up with dinner and an RD Mixer, giving you the unique opportunity to mingle and chat with the local race directors of our San Diego events.
On our last morning we will have a meditation class and time of reflection before saying our goodbyes.
